NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY LEAGUE 2024 ALL AT BERRY HILL PARK, MANSFIELD We invite all Schools within Nottinghamshire to send teams or individuals to the Cross Country League meetings to be held during the Autumn term. We hope that as many schools or individuals who are interested will come along to these meetings. Medals are awarded to the winning individuals and teams. Schools or individuals must compete in all three meetings in order to qualify for the awardsSATURDAY 16 th NOVEMBER 2024 SATURDAY 30 th NOVEMBER 2024 (click on the dates for the results) Time table 10.00am Years 8/9 Boys & 10/11 Girls. 4000m. NOTE that in 2025, the County Schools Cross Country Championships will be held at Worksop College on Saturday 1 st February – qualification via district qualifying races. English Schools Cross Country is to be held on Saturday 15 th March. |

Athlete registrationCoinciding with the start of the new track and field season, the latest version of the UKA Rules for Competition 2016 are to be launched on April 1st and UKA have announced information on the updates that will be included. UKA Rules apply from the Under 13 Age Group upwards. These include important changes regarding compulsory athlete registration in competitions held under UKA Rules . It is important that athletes, club membership secretaries, team managers and others are aware of this and the associated guidance. While athlete registration is a well established part of the sport to help athletes and others affected by different aspects of registration rules we have put together the following advice Guidance for athletesIt is important that athletes (and parents of younger athletes, UKA Rules apply from the Under 13 Age Group upwards) take responsibility for their role in ensuring their club registration is up to date. Be aware the volunteers at your club are involved in carrying out a wider range of activities to support athletes so playing your part is important. Here is what you should do:
